Nov. 14, 2022- Coolest Mission out here!!!

Kuale!!! Its me again and sorry to flex with my email title but it's kinda true and I had another realization this week. Once again one of the most amazing weeks, they just keep getting better which is incredible!!!

Tuesday we had distrito council with President and Sister Wunderli and it was amazing. Shed a couple tears because of the Spirit. Then Wednesday we had one regular day of work where we grinded, and got in all our lessons. Thursday morning we woke up early and headed over on a boat to Santo Antão to do divisions with the sisters there. Stayed there until Saturday morning and then got right back to the grind here with all our friends. How amazing we literally just take boats to another island for a couple days. Sister Everitt and I felt so out of place on this boat since it was probably 80% tourists from Europe in their hiking clothes. And this was the fanciest boat I've been on here. And gorgeous to get to watch the sunrise with the wind on our faces. Learned that boats are one of my happy places. :)

Miracle of the week!!! Our friend and QUEEN Vera saw even more miracles this week. Mind you she knows everything since her son was baptized recently. But knows she had a couple hurdles to jump before being completely ready but she has the most desire I've seen in anyone. She has the most faith and best attitude about it all. She expressed to us on Wednesday the last hurdle she had to jump and asked us for help and clarity on how to do this. We explained to her and challenged her to do what she needed to do this week. We kept her in our prayers as we left. Then Saturday we had a lesson with her and then Sunday morning she comes in the taxi we planned with her fam. Sees us in the street and then tells us as we walk into church that the last rock in her path had been pushed away. Her prayers and ours were asserted and she had the best attitude about it all. SOOO much faith and trust in the Lord. Example to me of how we can just move forward with faith and watch the hand of the Lord be manifest in our lives. THEN it gets better, at church we talk about families in Relief Society and she loves it, participates and decides she wants to change the way she runs her family. Visit her with one of the relief society counselors that night and her two sons are SO happy!! That whole family has been through so much but are starting to see how the gospel can really CHANGE and BLESS our lives. My heart feels like the grinch everytime I walk away from that house. Just bursting with joy and love for them and everything they've done to follow the Savior. Love this gospel and the people here.

I had to give my farewell testimony to the mission this week and cried pretty hard the night before. I've been denying it but when you can't avoid it more, is when it starts to hurt. Love this gospel so much, love my family, love Cabo Verde and most of all love my Savior Jesus Christ!!! Have a fantastic week, love you all!!!
